Although men are more likely to read car magazines. Car and Driver targeted audience is similar to my magazine because it is targeted towards car enthusiast which is someone who loves cars, enjoys buying them, collecting them, working on them, modifying them and anything else that comes to mind. Typically Car enthusiast are men ranging from the age of 18 to 38. Car and Driver marketed their product by social media and their own website, examples are such as their own Instagram page, which they keep their audience up to date with the lasted issue, they also have their own Youtube Channel visualizing their top stories in actual video footage. Furthermore, The online platform of Car and Driver is a comprehensive, one-stop destination for in-market automotive buyers and enthusiasts alike. The site offers exclusive automotive reviews, road test information, vehicle pricing, videos and more. Persuasive techniques used by this magazine are Celebrity Association or Testimonial which means that they used big brand names to attract more audience, for example, many times the cover of Car and Driver is going to be a Lamborghini or a Tesla, it is very rare to ever see non-exotic cars making the cover page. To market my magazine I would use social media such as Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram to interact with my audience and bring a new audience in. I would also make a website and advertise with ads in order websites close to my targeted audience.
